Software ImageMaster^® HR

The wide range of applications of the ImageMaster^® HR Series is made possible by an advanced software package designed to work under the MS Windows XP operating system. The ImageMaster^® Software offers a multitude of tools for R&D and laboratory work preserving a high level of speed and accuracy during the measurement process.

The software is developed in close collaboration with our customers to match their needs in the complete characterization of optical systems and finally to launch sophisticated products in less time.

Based on TRIOPTICS’ many years of experience in developing optical instruments of top-grade quality the software package provides remarkable features such as auto focus, through-focus scans, pass-or-fail signaling features, storage of lens and batch data and the handling of configuration data with different access rights for users and supervisors.

An integrated scripting tool allows the experienced user to develop measurement sequences for automation and to expand the functionality of the software to his own needs. As a matter of course the preparation of measurement certificates, and the refined data evaluation using the powerful features of MS Excel are integral parts of the ImageMaster^® software.

The ImageMaster^® Software provides unique features to optimize the measurement process:

• Simultaneous measurements of the EFL and the MTF using special target patterns and dedicated software routines
• Conventional MTF measurement using a single slit or a crosshair as a target
• Optionally automated selection and positioning of the suitable reticle (target) for the current application
• Configuration files with optimized process parameters and password protected access for operator and supervisor
• Script tools for custom programming and analysis
• Data export and data processing with MS Excel

The ImageMaster^® HR can be configured to measure the MTF in sagittal and tangential direction simultaneously. The spatial frequencies of interest can be selected prior to measurement. The measurement results can be compared with the calculated diffraction limited MTF values or with optical design files.

Basically, the software package of the ImageMaster^® HR Series includes various automated measurement routines and data analysis which provides graphs for:

• MTF vs. Defocus
• EFL vs. Image Height
• Distortion
• Field Curvature

• etc.

Further measurement procedures can be easily programmed with the embedded scripting language according to customer requirements.
